Seed potatoes,
graded and shipped.
Piepertrader buys and sells seed and ware potatoes from the heart of the Dutch potato region, and ships them to growers and packers across Europe, the Mediterranean and beyond.
Other free varieties on request. Availability changes through the season.
What we trade
Two products, one way of working.
Seed potatoes
Certified Dutch seed potatoes in classes S, SE, E and A. Sorted to the size grade you plant, packed the way your market handles it, with all export documents arranged.
Ware potatoes
Table, french fry and crisping potatoes for packers, processors and wholesalers. Bought from growers we know, sold on specification, delivered to your line.
Free varieties
Our seed potatoes are free of plant breeders’ rights.
A protected variety is tied to the trading house that holds it: you buy on their terms, at their price, or not at all. After thirty years that right expires and the variety becomes free — anyone may grow it, trade it and multiply it. Free varieties are the only thing we deal in.
No licence, no affiliation
You need no contract with a breeder to buy from us, and we need none to sell to you. Nothing about the deal depends on a third party’s permission.
Price you can compare
No royalty stacked on top of the seed price, and no single supplier holding the variety. You can put our offer next to anyone else’s.
Yours to multiply
What you plant, you may propagate and sell on in your own market. That matters if you are building a seed programme rather than buying one crop.
Why Piepertrader
Short lines, straight answers.
In the middle of the crop
Emmeloord sits in the Noordoostpolder, the ground the Dutch seed potato sector is built on. We know the growers, we see the lots, and we can be at the store the same morning you ask about them.
One person on your file
You deal with Bob directly, from first enquiry to the loading photos. No account handovers, no waiting three days for a price.
Paperwork done properly
Phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, NAK documents and customs formalities are prepared before the container is sealed, not after.
Where it goes
Shipping from Rotterdam, Antwerp and by road.
Reefer and dry containers for overseas destinations, full truck loads within Europe. Tell us the port or the farm gate and we quote to it.
Outside Europe — North Africa, West Africa, the Middle East — on request. We quote those on a case-by-case basis, because the import rules differ per country and per season.
Quality & compliance
Registered, certified, and honest about what is still in progress.
We trade under RUCIP, the European rules for the potato trade, which set out quality arbitration and dispute settlement for both parties.
Pootgoed
Seed potatoes
Dutch certified seed potatoes, inspected in the field and in store, supplied with the class and size grade your planting needs. Availability changes through the season — ask for the current list.

Ware potatoes
Potatoes for the table, the fryer and the crisp line. We buy lots from growers in and around the Noordoostpolder and sell them on a written specification, so what arrives is what was agreed.

Import & export
From enquiry to sealed container.
Every shipment runs through the same five stages. You always know which one your order is in.
Documents we arrange
Incoterms
We quote on the term that suits you. Most overseas business runs FOB Rotterdam or CFR to your port; within Europe, DAP to the farm or the packing station.
